Senior Year – Catch Part 3 of 3 of our Webinar July 26, 2017 at 12 Noon

Digitally Savvy Senior Webinar Overview

Who would have thought Seniors and tablets would go together like peanut butter and jelly? Times are changing.

In fact, recent research from the Pew Research Center from May 2017 revealed these statistics:

  • 2/3rds of Seniors go online
  • Smartphone penetration is at 42%

Does that mean your team needs to drop what it’s doing and create social media accounts on every channel available? Well, not exactly.

While the allure of social media is tempting, both Phil Smith from Linkmedia 360 and Patrick Hart from MatrixCare prefaced the Webinar by imploring teams not to chase bright and shiny objects media and industry publications press upon us. Instead – focus your community’s efforts into ensuring it has a firm digital marketing foundation comprised of a mobile responsive website, well-optimized for SEO and conversions. These efforts need to be measured and tracked. If those strategies are firmly in place, then focus to growing social efforts.

Bearing those aspects in mind — is your community prepared for the digitally savvy senior? For the first two parts in this three-part Webinar series, Phil and Patrick walked participants through the current digital landscape senior living communities are faced with.

Digitally Savvy Senior Webinar Part One and Two Recap

In Part One, Phil and Patrick introduced participants to the digital marketing maturity curve. We began with the Classic/Foundational level, and moved participants through the first stage and primed them for the second level, Foundational. Phil and Patrick provided participants a checklist to follow with key elements included to ensure a community’s success. Review and replay what you may have missed here.

In Part Two, Phil and Patrick continued taking participants through the digital marketing maturity curve, moving from the Foundational level to Practitioner. Again, Phil and Patrick continued their approach of providing detailed checklists for success to help community’s accurately determine where their current strategy falls on the digital marketing maturity curve.
