Self Storage Association Hosts “Positioning for the Future” Fall Conference

I spent part of Labor Day getting packed up and ready to go as my flight was leaving bright and early on Tuesday, September 6, for the Self Storage Association Fall Conference and Tradeshow held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.   Dave Wolf and I normally attend these shows together and we’ve come to have a “routine” to our tradeshow travels to Vegas.  First stop, Serendipity 3 for lunch! Yum! Then its on to registration and booth set up.   (I think we set the booth up this time in record speed!!)

Whether you were a storage owner/operator looking for the latest software, marketing, or building materials, or a vendor looking to promote your products and services, there was something for everyone at this years SSA Fall Conference!

The show got underway with an opening keynote presentation by Dean Jernigan, CEO of U-Store-It Trust. In addition, break- out sessions were held where registrants could get the latest information regarding marketing, finance, security/safety, human resources, technology, auditing, site occupancy and rental rates.

We caught up with some existing clients  and made some new acquaintances as well.  We enjoy the SSA tradeshows for many reasons as it’s a great way to support our clients and also make new connections.
