3D Glasses Test Gets an F!!!

So, it’s that time of year! School is out for the kids and it’s time for a more relaxed, slower pace for the summer months. This might mean taking a vacation, heading to the beach, or possibly taking in a movie or two. (Don’t forget to use the Print Yellow Pages or Internet Yellow Pages to research and plan your outings.)

Well, last night as usual, I scanned through the news on my Associated Press app on my Blackberry and one of the articles I wanted to read about was the announcement regarding the new Iphone from Apple. After scanning that article in the Business section, I moved on to the “Lifestyles” section, and saw an article posted via Market Wire/Good Housekeeping that drew my interest.

Most of us are aware that the summer months are a busy time for movie goers. In making the experience even more enjoyable, some movies will require the use of 3D glasses to get the full effect of the movie. Well, the next time you reach to put your glasses on, you might want to be sure to thoroughly clean them with some alcohol wipes first! Based on the article and test conducted by Good Housekeeping Research Institute, it appears that 3D glasses that were tested had a high propensity for being contaminated with bacteria that can cause sickness! I think you’d agree that we don’t go to school and work all year just to get to the summer months to find ourselves sick or infected with pink eye.

Be sure to take a look at the article. Every effort helps. We hope you have a safe and healthy summer!
