One of the biggest lessons that Linkmedia 360 tries to teach is that content is king. The more engaging and original your content is, the more consumers will react to it. If your messaging just isn’t resonating with people, it can be a good idea to step back and look at new ways to approach them, maybe in a way they’d never expect!
Sometimes, no matter how great your product or service is, consumers just don’t pay attention to it. This is the perfect opportunity to look at how you’re marketing it and see if there’s a way to attract more consumers. One of the best recent examples is the Center for Disease Control’s Zombie Apocalypse Guide. Instead of hoping people would want to look up disaster preparedness information on their own, they made it fun for consumers to get the info. With the success of AMC’s The Walking Dead and scores of video games proving that the public loves zombie stories, they tied their tips on emergency kits and plans into a fictional zombie plague. The results were astounding: 77,000 likes on Facebook, nearly 2,400 tweets and retweets on Twitter and tons of attention from the internet community. Obviously, zombies won’t necessarily make sense for your product or service but thinking outside the box can bring huge rewards for your business!
