The Account Director is responsible for the overall success of their assigned Linkmedia 360 clients along with the productivity of the marketing support team that executes strategy to drive results. The Director is to be a trusted advisor and true advocate for client partners. This optimistic and empathetic individual works to develop turnkey solutions to solve business challenges and help clients better understand the strategy, activities and the results Linkmedia drives to achieve their goals. The Director is customer-service focused and must clearly communicate program progress to the clients along with keeping tabs on changes in the digital marketing landscape as they relate to improving visibility and conversions.

The Director is responsible for overall project and program delivery and will have a high focus on internal teamwork, value-add mentality, client retention, organic account growth, innovation and guiding scalable efficiencies.  The mentality for this role is that anything that touches the clients should make them feel like they are “touching gold.”

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Client Leadership and Management
    • Enterprise-level account approach and delivery methods
    • Efficiently manage a book of business with dedicated support team (operating within favorable margins)
    • Accessible at all times as first point of contact for assigned clients with prompt response times (including evenings and weekends)
    • Ensuring the proper lines of communication are established for each client to deliver optimal value and results
    • Accountable for reconciling monthly program and project work billing amounts
    • Coordinate in-person client meetings and travel as necessary
      • Client travel time (~10% or less). Varies based on level of investment and client requirements. Typical travel length is 1-2 days.
  • Client Delivery
    • Lead new client setup, onboarding and setting program expectations
    • Coordinate client quarterly roadmaps, monthly performance results, and QBRs
    • Proactively address and resolve client concerns – escalate and gain support of leadership as necessary
    • Perform quality assurance checks on team’s work output looking for:
      • Efficiency
      • Accuracy
      • Consistency
      • Effectiveness
  • Client Onboarding and Ongoing Management
    • Create and manage digital marketing strategy and annual budget and for multiple client accounts – working with a full support team of Managing Partners, VPs, Directors, Managers, Strategists and Specialists
    • Maintain and own client updates, history and activities within our CRM and Time & Task platforms
    • Conduct monthly internal strategy meetings with teams for each campaign
    • Conduct weekly team checkpoints on assigned tasks
    • Oversee development of a 3-month strategic roadmap for each client – ensuring tasks are on track and quality is maintained to deliver results and value
    • Manage team tasks, production schedules and delivery with a strong focus on client satisfaction which supports retention
    • Identify and position opportunities to grow client results and investment with Linkmedia 360
  • Team Development
    • Determine hiring needs driven by sound business case
    • Assist in team hiring and contributing to team annual performance reviews in the form of 360 degree feedback
    • Review weekly timecard reports to ensure accuracy and team capacity
  • Digital Marketing Expertise
    • Strategy mindset and working knowledge of tactical delivery
    • Strong project management and organization skills
    • High proficiency in usage of Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook calendar and contact management
    • Subject matter knowledge in SEO, PPC and Analytics
    • Solid understanding of integrated marketing components: local search, content marketing, technical optimization, user experience, conversion rate optimization, email marketing and automation, reputation management, social media
    • Efficient with using cloud-based software, tools and workflow
  • Strategic Analysis
    • Continually pushing our strategy team to dive deeper into our reporting and draw meaningful insights to support client goals
    • Oversee and finalize deliverable creation as needed prior to client review

    • Oversee and assist with strategy execution as necessary, while rallying the right support resources to meet and exceed client commitments

Key Performance Indicators & Measures of Success:

  • Overall client retention (90% target)
  • Client program result improvements (YoY – ROI/conversions, traffic/rankings)
    • Quarterly client case study creation
  • Client investment growth
  • Client testimonials and referrals
  • Development of internal and external processes/deliverables for all scalable tactics and strategies as it relates to account management

Role Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing account management
  • Prior agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Assertiveness, bias for action and commitment to execution
  • Outstanding leadership qualities demonstrated by excellent communication, presentation skills and enthusiasm to overcome difficult initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail and proven accountability in professional career
