The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for supporting integrated content strategy across Linkmedia 360 digital clients along with the performance of the support team that delivers solutions to drive results. This person is to be a trusted advisor to both client partners and internal team members and works to develop turnkey solutions to solve their business challenges and help them better understand the strategy, activities and the results that Linkmedia drives. The Content Marketing Strategist must clearly communicate program progress to the internal team and clients along with keeping tabs on changes in the digital marketing landscape as it relates to all aspects of strategic content that drive visibility, results and bottom-line business impact.

The Content Marketing Strategist contributes to overall team development including but not limited to; strategic and tactical training (group and individual), thought leadership, and vertical efficiencies. The Content Marketing Strategist should have a high focus on teamwork, innovative strategy, and high-quality delivery of results.

  • Client Strategic Delivery
    • Support new client setup, analysis and actionable recommendations as it relates to content styling, user personas and gap analysis
    • Determine strategy and tactical activities for client quarterly roadmaps, monthly performance results, and QBRs as necessary (in a simplified and easy to understand approach)
    • Proactively prevent, address and resolve client concerns, and escalate as necessary
    • Perform quality assurance checks on all work output looking for:
      • Efficiency
      • Accuracy
      • Consistency
      • Effectiveness
  • Digital Marketing Expertise
    • Strategic approach and tactical delivery experience
    • Strong project management skills
    • Deep subject matter expertise in all areas of content, SEO, Local, PPC, Conversions and Analytics
    • Growing working knowledge in website re-designs, user experience, email marketing and automation, reputation management, and social media
    • Efficient with using a cloud-based software, tools and workflow
  • Team Development
    • Review weekly timecard reports to ensure accuracy and personal bandwidth for client assignments
    • Coordinate team training to support proper execution of daily tasks to drive client program results
    • Continually evaluate our digital marketing toolset and processes to determine new tooling candidates and processes that need enhancement
    • Provide timely 360 review feedback for team members as requested
  • Client Onboarding and Ongoing Management
    • Help the team deliver digital marketing strategy and best practices for multiple client accounts
    • Contribute to monthly internal strategy meetings with teams for each campaign
    • Ensure smooth delivery of the 3-month strategic roadmap for each client (working closely with the account manager on status updates)
    • Identify opportunities to grow client results and investment with Linkmedia 360 (working with account manager and solutions leads)
  • Strategic Analysis
    • Perform ongoing and proactive analysis to help guide the strategy for each client based on ongoing audits
      • Content gap analysis
      • Competitive analysis
      • Campaign performance analysis (activities and results)
    • Continually guiding Specialists team to dive deeper into our reporting and draw meaningful insights
    • Identify both repeatable and custom tasks to be fulfilled for each client campaign
    • Guide strategy approach and activities for each assigned client
    • Finalize deliverable creation as needed prior to team and client review (high level of accuracy and completeness)

Strategic Growth and Leadership Opportunities:

  • Team Development
    • Mentor and train junior team members (Specialists, Associates and Interns) to develop more skills as a digital marketer and drive towards executing results for clients
    • Provide timely 360 review feedback for team members as requested
  • Integrated Search Marketing
    • Become an expert in technical optimization, SEO, Content Marketing and Local Search Listing Management to round out strategic skillset
    • Define branded and non-branded Google presence (3-pack, organic, knowledge panel, etc.)
      • Take the lead on supporting actionable and integrated keyword strategy for joint SEO/PPC campaigns
    • Develop meaningful insights and storytelling methods that connect the touchpoints for integrated digital marketing – all designed to drive enhanced visibility, quality traffic and downstream leads.
  • Integrated Analytics
    • Develop innovative and efficient internal SEO/Local/Content KPI reporting processes to prompt action in driving results
    • Google Search Console and Google Analytics expert level support
  • UX/CRO and Website Design/Development
    • Utilize strong digital marketing background to continually improve client websites to increase conversions for the traffic we drive through SEO, PPC, etc.
    • Work with our designers and developers to execute upon your strategy (i.e. tech SEO, template enhancements, A/B Testing)

Key Performance Indicators & Measures of Success:

  • Meeting assigned client deliverable deadlines
  • Deliverable quality and team/client feedback
  • Client program result improvements (YoY – ROI/conversions, traffic/rankings)
    • Client case study creation
  • Development of internal and external processes/deliverables for all scalable digital marketing tactics and strategies. Includes team trainings and POV documents

Role Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, 2+ years working directly with SEO
  • Prior agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Assertiveness, bias for action and commitment to execution
  • Outstanding leadership qualities demonstrated by excellent communication, presentation skills and enthusiasm to overcome difficult initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail and proven accountability in professional career
